Happy Friday, Friends!
This girl is SO ready for the 5pm whistle to blow. I might actually be able to sneak out of here a little early today, which is nice because I’ll be making the drive to Long Island. I willingly take and appreciate any little bit of time they let me cut out early. As long as my work is done there aren’t any problems.
Another gray, drizzly and cold day in CT. Not quite as cold as yesterday, but chilly just the same. I needed to warm my bones, so I started my day with another fabulous bowl of oatmeal which I topped with 1/2 of a sliced banana.
This is quickly becoming a favorite breakfast for me. I usually mix in a little splenda and a dash of cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice for some sweetness & extra flavor. Oh. So. Good!! 🙂
I also had a side of egg whites with a sprinkle of salt & pepper.
My usual cup o’ joe and a bottle of water were necessary to round out the meal.
Ahhhh, my belly was happy.
When lunchtime rolled around I wasn’t too hungry. I pushed it off a little longer than usual (trying to listen to my body instead of eating by the clock) and then enjoyed a pita filled with honey-maple turkey, cabbage shreds (aka coleslaw without the dressing) and spicy mustard.
Now, I’ll sit and wait until I get the ok to start my weekend. Fingers crossed I won’t be sitting here much longer!
